Since March 23rd, Penny Willingham – who owns Hometown Quilts in Hogansville – has been making masks with her grandson to donate to local front line coronavirus responders. The two have already made an incredible 3,358 masks and donated them to doctors, nurses, and public safety officers across the Middle Georgia region.
Locally, they have donated masks to Hogansville Police, Grantville Police, Troup County Fire Department, Newnan Fire Department, Troup EMS, Coweta EMS, LaGrange Hospice, West Georgia Wellstar, District 4 Health Department, LaGrange Health & Wellness, Delta Airlines, and more. Penny has even shipped masks out of state to frontline workers in Louisiana, Nevada, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, California, and New York.
