ATLANTA – Today, the Georgians for Kelly Loeffler campaign responded to recent attacks by Doug Collins about Senator Loeffler’s steadfast work to assist Georgians impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. As outlined in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Doug Collins and his campaign are attacking Senator Loeffler for launching a new COVID-19 resource website, delivering meals to Georgia’s frontline hospital workers, and even personally donating $1 million to Phoebe Putney Hospital.
“While Senator Loeffler is working around the clock to keep Georgians safe and provide relief to those impacted by COVID-19, Doug Collins is acting like an out-of-touch, career politician. From attacking Sen. Loeffler’s new website that serves as an online hub for COVID-19 recovery and relief to trashing her personal donation of $1 million to Phoebe Putney Hospital, Doug Collins clearly cares more about his political career than the people of Georgia,” said Communications Director Stephen Lawson. “It’s disgusting—but not surprising—coming from a career politician like Doug Collins who has spent nearly 15 years in office, jumping from one political office to the next and taking $1.3 million in taxpayer money. While Senator Loeffler will keep fighting to make sure Georgians get their next paycheck during this crisis, it’s clear Doug Collins will keep playing politics to make sure he gets his.”
